About
Gavin Bryce launched his debut in 2018 with his first single "Pain" at 16 years old—but his journey started even earlier. Earlier that year, a freestyle video spread across social media, catching the attention of Courtlin Jabrae who co-signed him, and who has writing & production credits with well-known artists from Kanye West to Trey Songz.GB’s early momentum as a freestyle rapper also caught the ears of fourseasns and ChapoBanz, who helped kickstart his music locally in Carbondale, Illinois, where "Pain" was recorded and his first show was held.Today, GB has evolved far beyond his original Eminem influenced freestyle era. Moving fluidly between vulnerable songwriting and alternative soundscapes, he aims to create dark, honest mood music. His current evolution is heavily driven by the somber textures of bands like Deftones, the raw emotion of XXXTENTACION, and the dark, haunting tones of The Weeknd’s “Trilogy” and “Kiss Land.”
